Peanut Butter -n- Jelly Kids established business in Mobile, Alabama on July of 1984.  Located on one of Mobile's oldest main arteries, Old Shell Road, This is where you will find exquisite imported Fabrics, Laces, Threads, along with Patterns and Ideas to keep you sewing all year long.  You can take classes in beginning sewing, smocking, French sewing, embroidering , quilting or sign up for group sewing projects. Many come in just for support and next step instructions to finish their own prize heirlooms. We hope you will visit us someday, maybe on the way to our beautiful beaches on the Gulf.  But until then enjoy our website and email us with any questions you may have.
  • Anna Marie Phelps, mother of 3 children. 2 boys,  John('80),  James ('81) and a daughter Alicia ('84). Now second mom to Miranda, John's Wife and Angel, James's Wife and John III!
  • Opened Peanut Butter -n- Jelly Kids in July of 1984.
  • Attended Martha Pullen's School of Art Fashion in January of 1985.
  • Member of National Smocking Arts Guild of America since 1986.
  • Served as Vice President, Special Event Chairman and President of the local Chapter of Azalea City Smocking Guild.
  • Attended over 300 hours of approved classes of Smocking Arts Guild of America National and Regional Convention.
  • Chaired and organized a Region Convention for Smocking Guild of America.
  • Creator and Designer of P.B.J.K's Designs Patterns , Smocking plates & quilt patterns.
  • Presented a series on Heirloom Sewing thru Local Cable T.V.
  • Served as Eucharistic Minister and Lector for her Church.
  • Volunteers as leader and trainer for the Girl Scouts of America and the Boy Scouts of America.
  • Teacher of Heirloom sewing, smocking, and sewing of children's clothes for 22 years.
  • She Loves camping, canoeing, sailing, swimming and backpacking with her family and scouts.
